“Playing at Capitol that Saturday night was a special show,” Rich Machin of Soulsavers tells Rolling Stone. “The room has a presence and you can’t help but think of all the amazing artists who’ve been in there before you: Sinatra, Ray Charles, the Beach Boys… We literally had one evening and the following afternoon to rehearse the whole show, so it was totally seat-of-your-pants stuff! We played around with the arrangements and improvised a little.”
